Results for February 21, 2009Poster by Arron "By Godd" Devil February 21st, 2009 will forever go down in the wrestling history books as "The Last Ride of The Dark Pony," when J.P. Black performed in his last match for IYFW and Vermont Wrestling. J.P. Black began the show to address the fans about his retirement. He was also surprised by Drake Evans, Vigo, Yvonna Leach and his opponent for the evening, Maxx "The Ax" Burton. Maxx presented a custom made championship belt to J.P. and made sure he knew that tonight both men would show why they love Professional Wrestling. 1) Horace White and Green Mountain Grappler, Earl, with Jena Mya beat Good Lord Willing and Mackie Schrody of "The Axis" when Earl rolled up Willing. This has threatened The Good Lord's position in "The Axis." 2) Vigo defeated "The Crusader of Old School" Ian Daniels. 3) Drake Evans beat Al Jihad of "The Axis" with a submission. After the match, "The Axis" jumped Drake and beat him down until Team Do or Die and Kriptic Keegan made the save. Joey Eastman returned to IYFW and announced he had been fired once, but through alot of hard work and deterimation, he convinced the Office to give him another shot, and he is once again the Executive Vice President Director of Operations and Talent Relations. His first act was to ban all members of "The Axis" from ringside during Fronz Roddy's title defense against Kriptic Keegan, and if they did interfere, Fronz would be stripped of the title. 4) In a No DQ, No Countout match for the IYFW Tag Team Champsionships, The Williams Express retained the titles over Divine Diversity when "Bombshell" Bert Williams pinned The Bull after a DDT. Because of the stipulation in the contract, The Bull is fired from IYFW and Divine Diversity is no more. Superbeast made a surprise appearance with his knee wrapped up to address his issues with Vigo, who later came out to speak his mind as well. Both men showed that their feud is far from over and they can not wait for the time to come when they collide again. 5) "Millennium Millionaire" Scott Scarsdale and The Nubian Lynch Mob beat Team Do or Die and Pierre Vachon when Scarsdale hit "The Jackpot" on C.J. Scott for the win. 6) "The Mighty" Fronz Roddy retained the IYFW Championship against Kriptic Keegan. After the match Joey Eastman told Fronz that on April 18th, if Drake Evans defeats Good Lord Willing, he will get a long overdue shot at Fronz Roddy's title on the same night in the main event. 7) "The Last Ride." Many members of the In Your Face Wrestling roster came out to see this match between J.P. Black and Maxx "The Ax" Burton. These men put on a great match that saw Maxx Burton win with a DDT off the 2nd turnbuckle. J.P. Black, ceremoniously, left his boots in the ring as he left, hugging and thanking the wrestlers who came out to watch. Next IYFW show is "Relentless Pursuit" on Saturday, April the 18th, back at the Holiday Inn of Rutland, VT. Thank you to all the fans for their support and helping make the evening so special.
