Rumor Control for July 14, 2008
August 23rd's event in Rutland, VT will be called "Holiday Inn-vasion!"
- The "invasion" referred to in the event's name comes from the fact that some outside wrestler has been signed by Joey Eastman to get even with Maxx Burton. We are not getting a name, but we are told it is someone from Burton's past that he has never faced before. Unlike James Wallace, this person is coming to hurt Maxx.
- The Nubian Lynch Mob will be in action on 8/23.
- Drake Evans is frustrated over his double loss to Fronz Roddy at Coronation Weekend. First, he lost International Combat 2 after tasting the "Aus Crusher." Next, Fronz had been dumped out of the In Your Face Rumble by Drake and J.P. Black, but he slipped back in as the refs never saw him eliminated; they were busy keeping Superbeast and Vigo apart. Fronz then threw out Drake in front of the refs and the match was called. Evans is fuming and determined to send a message to Fronz on 8/23.
- The Tag titles will be on the line as Divine Diversity were informed they would be defending the titles. The champions said they are the best tag team in IYFW and anybody who wants to step up and challenge them will see why. Lindsay Lynn being in their corner has a lot to do with their success and winning the belts. It might be necessary for whoever steps up to have someone watching out for them.
- Superbeast and Vigo are both signed to be at "Holiday Inn-vasion," but due to the office's ruling, they will not be wrestling each other. With these two in the same building, and the hatred that burns deep in each others heart, they may not need a match to face off.
