Rumor Control for July 25, 2009
The Axis Takes Control!
On Saturday, July 18th, The Axis initiated their own assault on IYFW. Good Lord Willing got the ball rolling by beating the Green Mountain Grappler. Scott Scarsdale and Al Jihad captured the IYFW Tag Team titles from The Williams Express. "The Mighty" Fronz Roddy ended the evening by retaining the IYFW Championship over Coronation Cup winner C.J. Scott. Now with all the titles in Axis possession, what can be next for them?
World Class Women Battle
Another competitor from Shimmer, "The Portuguese Princess" Ariel, made a successful debut in IYFW over Alexxus with an innovative submission. Alexxus feels she needs some time to train and get back in the game and plans to come back once she is ready.
A Hell-Beast Bash!
During the intermission, Payne the Hellraiser jumped Pierre Vachon out of nowhere and the wrestlers had to separate them. Vachon and Payne held nothing back in their match up which resulted in a double countout. We have the makings of another clash of titans. We all know ahout Superbeast’s and Vigo’s feud, can you imagine all four of these men in the ring at the same time?
Where’s The Boss?
We have not seen the Exec. V.P. Dir. Of Ops & Talents Relations Joey Eastman since February at "Last Ride of the Dark Pony." Word is that once Eastman was reinstated, he worked out a contract that allowed him the option to show when he wanted instead of every event. Maxx Burton was the Interim Commissioner at "Relentless Pursuit" but that was a 1-time deal. Al Scott, Senior Official in IYFW, was the authority at "Coronation Cup ’09." In July, there was no representative from the IYFW office, but the New York State Athletic Commission sent a representative to oversee the show. Many officials in IYFW think that having no authority figure on a show could lead to a major problem. Word is that someone else in IYFW may be getting an authority spot in IYFW.
