Rumor Control for April 27, 2010
Several wrestlers scheduled to be a part of the "Amsterdamage event were unable to attend due to injuries. In Your Face Wrestling wishes them all well and speedy recoveries.
By Any Means Necessary!
Guillaume deSade claimed the IYFW Championship by pinning his fellow Nubian Lynch Mob member Etanna, proving that he would do anything to get it. It seemed that Etanna was sent out as a sacrificial lamb as he received a brutal beatdown from both Drake Evans and Vigo while deSade stayed away and waited for his opportunity. Now who will be the first to step up and challenge deSade?
Grindhouse Demolished!
Maxx Burton turned his back on CJ Scott after they lost the tag team titles to The International Ego Trip: Fronz Roddy and The Northern Studd. No one understands where this attitude is coming from, especially from one of the most experienced and respected members of the roster. IYFW Management has been trying to get in contact with Burton but we understand he is not returning phone calls or emails.
Badger Doesn’t Believe In Magic!
Adam Badger intentionally lost his tag match, apparently to stick it to Jamar Justice. From what we are hearing from trainers and other students of the IYFW Academy, Badger and Justice have always had a rivalry and it seems it’s getting personal. Justice is still rehabbing his shoulder but hopes to be ready by June for the Coronation Cup. Will the paths of Badger and Justice cross during the tournament?
New Title!
It’s been teased before that IYFW may be commissioning a new championship. Well, we can confirm the rumors are true. Due to the influx of new and exciting young talent, IYFW has commissioned The In Your Face Wrestling New Breed Championship. We understand that this title will be geared towards the newer wrestlers in IYFW looking to make a name for themselves. However, it is not exclusive to them as anyone can contend for it. But it would seem a bit selfish for the established stars of IYFW to vie for it. When and how this title will be decided is not known yet, but once word of this title came out, the IYFW Academy has seen quite the upswing in attendance and activity.
IYFW Returns to the Ballston Area Comminity Center in Ballston Spa on June 12th for "Coronation Cup 2010" The 8-man Tournament is a big opportunity for any competitor in IYFW as it guarantees them a shot at the IYFW Championship.
